Metallica: il saluto al grande maestro ennio morricone.
Dopo la notizia della morte del Maestro Ennio Morricone, i METALLICA hanno diffuso il seguente messaggio.
Ricordiamo che i METALLICA sono sempre stati grandi fan del compositore italiano e usano da anni la traccia “L’estasi Dell’Oro” dalla colonna sonora del film “Il Buono, Il Brutto, il Cattivo” come intro ai loro concerti. Molti nel corso degli anni i tributi che la band ha fatto al grande artista durante gli show.
“Riposa in pace Ennio Morricone. La tua carriera è stata leggendaria e le tue composizioni sono senza tempo. Grazie per aver preparato la giusta atmosfera ai nostri show sin dal 1983″.

The day we first played “The Ecstasy of Gold” as our new intro in 1983 it was magic! It has become apart of our blood flow, deep breathing, fist bumping, prayers and band huddle pre-show ritual ever since. I have sang that melody thousands of times to warm up my throat before hitting the stage. Thank you Ennio for pumping us up, being a big part of our inspiration, and a bonding between band, crew, and fan. I will forever think of you as part of the Metallica family.
